Pine is a tree that requires maintenance to keep it in good shape. From April to May, new shoots called Midori (Green) are pruned. Of the few sprouts of each branches, the vigorous ones are cut off to keep the shape with the remained ones. The pruning is a very laborious task because of too many shoots and painful leaves.
